Hope Glen Farm Enchanted Tree House, Minnesota Wedding Photographer

This stunning Hope Glen Farm enchanted tree house styled shoot was recently featured in Minnesota Bride’s online wedding blog. We are so excited to finally be able to share all of these beautiful photos with everyone! This enchanted tree house styled shoot was inspired by Hope Glen Farm’s newest addition: a honeymoon treehouse. Hope Glen Farm in Cottage Grove, MN was purchased back in 2001 and became a wedding venue in 2013. Every year since, the owners have been adding new features to the venue with the treehouse being the “grand finale.” A 150 year old oak tree on the property was transformed into a beautiful tree house by Koinonia Design Architectural for couples to stay during their wedding weekend- or any day of the week! The treehouse looks like something straight out of a fairytale! Couples who love nature and feel at home in the woods can draw inspiration from this woodsy, vintage styled shoot at Hope Glen Farm. The treehouse completed our vision of an enchanting wedding filled with flowers and candles. Our beautiful bride is wearing a soft blue wedding dress to enhance the dreamy, fairytale vision. To complement the surrounding nature and woods, our groom is even wearing a wooden bow tie! For our reception decor, we used floral, greenery, candles, recycled bottles, and miscellaneous vintage rentals. The table numbers and escort cards were designed using pages from a French book, Histoire de Saint Francois, as an ode to St. Francis of Assisi and his patronage of animals and the natural environment. One of our favorite parts of this shoot is decorating the treehouse with candles...

Congratulations, Whitney and Steve! These two met online on Match.com. Their first date was in October of 2013. In June of 2015, Whitney and Steve took a road trip through South Dakota and Wyoming to Montana for Steve’s family reunion. During their road trip, the couple stopped at Elephant Black Trail in Yellowstone. Steve popped the question and Whitney said yes! This Minneapolis wedding included a lot of DIY wedding projects. The bride’s mother is a DIY queen- she altered the girls’ dresses, made the bride’s veil, converted frames from Good Will into welcome and program chalkboard signs, made the head table’s tablecloth and guest table runners, and spray painted decor. The couple chose Nicollet Island Pavilion because they love that the pavilion offers indoor and outdoor space. This Minneapolis wedding venue can also accommodate a large wedding and keep the ceremony and reception in one location. The couple chose a September wedding because they love fall. I love this venue because of all this ample photo opportunities between the city skyline, water, and cool brick.     Vendors Venue: Nicollet Island Pavilion Bridal Getting Ready Room: Nicollet Island Inn Photographer: Jeannine Marie Photography Videographer: A.B. Congratulations, Greg and Lisa! After four and a half years of dating, they said “I do” at a rustic, farm wedding in Chaska, MN.  A family friend of both Greg’s and Lisa’s owns a farm and they knew it was the perfect spot for their wedding. The couple wanted a relax, laid back atmosphere with chickens, cats, and other farm animals around the farm. They did a few DIY wedding projects including floral, signs, and centerpieces. These two met while Lisa was attending school in Mankato and Greg had just graduated from Gustavus. Greg was visiting a few friends and they went out to a bar in Mankato. He saw Lisa from across the bar and came over to talk to her. After chatting for a while, Lisa accidentally spilled a beer all over his lap. She thought he’d never talk to her again but by the end of the night, they exchanged numbers. Skip ahead to the couple going to Miami for a Crossfit competition. On the way to the airport to return to Minnesota, they stopped at a beach. While Lisa was staring out into the ocean, Greg got down on one knee! As Lisa recalls, “I was so surprised and cried for about ten minutes! I thought it was going to be at least another year before he asked me, even though I have been ready to say yes after only a year of knowing each other. It was the best moment of my life!” Venue: Private Residence in Chaska, MN Photographer: Jeannine Marie Photography Planner: Nicole with Seasons of Dreams Floral & Decor: DIY Caterer: Famous Dave’s Dessert: Costco Ceremony...

Congratulations, Andy and Steph! These two had an indoor church ceremony at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in New Hope, MN followed by an indoor wedding reception at one of my favorite Minneapolis wedding venues, the Minneapolis Event Center. Both Steph and Andy have an appreciation for engineering, architecture, and natural elements so they chose the event center because they loved the building’s original brick and wood elements mixed in with a modern design. These two met back in May of 2014 on Match.com. Steph had been on Match.com for about three months and was just about to cancel her subscription when she received an adorably witty message from Andy. They started to message back and forth for a couple of weeks and finally decided to set up their first date. They met at Jake O’Connor’s in Excelsior, MN for a few beers and then they went to Excelsior Brewing. Four hours later, they realized it was time to head home. They both left thinking it was the best first date either of them had ever been on. Jump ahead to June 27, 2015. After 13 months of dating, Andy and Steph went hiking around Minnehaha Falls followed by dinner at George and the Dragon. After dinner, they walked down to a bridge that overlooked Minnehaha Creek. Steph crossed to the other side of the bridge while Andy trailed behind, with the ring in his hand. When Steph turned around, Andy got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes!
