Twin Cities Outdoor Ceremony | Hope Glen Farm | MN Wedding Photographer

Brittany and Andrew had their wedding on a Thursday afternoon at Hope Glen Farm in Cottage Grove, MN. We’ve been seeing a lot more Thursday weddings this season! For their big day, Brittany and Andrew had their outdoor ceremony at the farm’s ceremony tree. You may notice something a little different though. The popular arch that was formed with one of the tree branches was sadly destroyed during one of the crazy summer storms we’ve been getting in Minnesota. So instead of the tree branch arch, Hope Glen Farm created a beautiful new arch designed with sticks to still capture a natural essence to the ceremony site. During Brittany and Andrew’s ceremony, we got a bit wet from the rain. Luckily, their onsite planner was ready with some umbrellas for the couple and the wedding party! Thankfully, it was a quick shower and the ceremony kept going! By the end of the ceremony, the sun was back out which was perfect since the couple’s ceremony exit song was “Here Comes the Sun.” How perfect is that!? The rest of the day went without a hitch with a dinner under the pavilion and dancing in the barn. At the end of the night, guests sent the couples off with sparklers from the barn to Hope Glen Farm’s gorgeous treehouse! Kari and Craig had their outdoor wedding at Hope Glen Farm in Cottage Grove, MN. This couple met through their church, and they got engaged while watching the sunrise during a camping trip along the North Shore. Kari has two children who were a part of the wedding party and it was so special that during their ceremony, Craig wrote special vows to the kids. Throughout the day, the couple wanted their wedding to be kid-friendly and full of fun for both the adults and the kids. Since Hope Glen Farm has a lot of space, the kids were able to run around and play yard games, create chalk art, and make giant bubbles with bubble wands after the ceremony. For the wedding reception in the open pavilion, I loved that the couple decided to switch up the usual reception layout and do something different. It’s very common for Hope Glen Farm couples to put their head table in front of the pavilion’s gorgeous fireplace. Instead, Kari and Craig decided to place their head table in the middle of the pavilion and have the guest tables surround them. The Cutting Garden then decorated the tables with her beautiful, vibrant summer floral arrangements and garlands! After a delicious dinner from Apples 2 Apples Catering and dessert from Nadia Cakes, everyone moved into the barn to dance along with a live band, Big Pappa! I had so much fun being apart of Kari and Craig’s big day! Also, shout-out to Brittany with Bella Mystique Weddings & Design for coordinating the couple’s day!   Vendors Venue: Hope Glen Farm Photographer: Jeannine Marie Photography...

Emilee and Travis first met eight years ago outside of a mutual friend’s house. After Emilee saw Travis, she turned to her friend Sarah and said, “I’m totally going to date him.” And here we are now, going through their wedding photos! For their Hope Glen Farm summer wedding, Emilee and Travis wanted their wedding to be unique from all the weddings they’ve seen. Their vision was “an earthy vibe” but with a classy twist. Since Emilee’s favorite plant are ferns, the couple decided to nix the typical wedding florals and use only ferns instead. They wanted their guests to feel like they were in the Oregon forests with ferns everywhere! The Cutting Garden did an amazing job creating all of the fern arrangements and decorating the pavilion. The couple also wanted to steer away from wedding cake and chose to have pies from Sara’s Tipsy Pies instead! However; one tradition they did want to keep was honoring their deceased loved ones. For her something old and something blue, Emilee wore a family heirloom ring that her grandmother gave her. Her bridal bouquet was also wrapped in one of her grandpa’s handkerchiefs with two charms that included pictures of the couple’s grandparents that were no longer here. To honor Emilee’s remaining grandfather, they gave him the role of “ring bearer.” It was an amazing idea that I absolutely loved seeing! Her grandfather carried the wooden ring box that Travis had made down the aisle. Such a special way to include him in the big day! The Star Awards are hosted by the International Live Events Association (ILEA)’s Minneapolis-St. Paul Chapter. Unfortunately, our team was unable to attend “An Undercover Affair” award show, but we were thrilled to find out that Jeannine Marie Photography won!
