Gale Mansion | Minneapolis Wedding Photographer

Gale Mansion is one of my favorite Minneapolis mansions! It’s not hard to see why! There are so many neat rooms inside this Minnesota mansion. Couples have access to the Ballroom, The Heritage Room, The Dining Room, The Fellowship Room (also known as the bridal suite), The Minneapolis Room (also known as the groom’s room), The Porch, The Great Hall, and The Founder’s Room. As if that’s not enough, the exterior property also has some great spots for photos or an outdoor ceremony. Couples are definitely not limited!  I highly recommend looking into Gale Mansion if you’re looking for a venue with beautiful architecture, local history, and a variety of options to help personalize your wedding and make it your own! For this proposal, I had to be extra sneaky since I was on a boat with Dustin and Bri! Dustin had arranged everything beforehand, including a private table on the back of the boat on the Mississippi River. While they enjoyed brunch, I waited on the main floor. Bri thought the whole surprise was just for her birthday- she had no idea she was about to get an extra special birthday gift! As it came down to proposal time, I snuck up to their upper deck. My wedding vendor friends, Kellie with Rustic Elegance and Laurie with Lauren B Photography,  helped out with the proposal by hanging a large sign from the Stone Arch Bridge that Dustin had made. The sign read: “MARRY ME BRI!” Once Bri spotted the sign, Dustin got down on one knee while I photographed it all! Such an awesome way to start the day! Congratulations, Dustin and Bri! Best wishes! This wedding was extra special since the bride is the sister of other Janine with Jeannine Marie Photography! It was so fun to see the day unfold. After getting engaged, Jessica and Zach knew right away that Three Rivers Parks: Silverwood Park in St. Anthony, MN was the perfect venue for them. They live nearby the park and have seen quite a few weddings there while walking around. When they called to secure a date, they knew it was a good sign when their ideal date was available. Their outdoor ceremony was on the patio, overlooking the lake. A little before the ceremony started, there was a thunderstorm and it was pouring. We decided to wait it out and after the storm passed, family and friends helped dry off the chairs just in time for the bride to walk down the aisle! The sky was sunny after that! Looking at the photos, you can’t even tell there was a storm! Back in spring of 2013, Jessica and Zach first met at the Guthrie Theater during the opening night party for Primrose Path. Zach was an actor in the show, and Jessica worked as an usher for the theater. At the party, Jessica approached Zach and said, “You know, you’re the cutest actor in the show.” She then left to go dance with friends. A little later, Zach went over to Jessica and said, “You’re like really gorgeous. Can I have your number so I can take you on a date?” They had their first date a week later. Skip ahead to December of 2015. They went on a winter...

Holy flower galore! Krista and Anthony wanted flowers everywhere and Camrose Hill Flowers definitely delivered! They decorated Calhoun Beach Club from top to bottom with an assortment of brightly colored florals, including the grand staircase. It was absolutely stunning! A special moment for their wedding is the beautiful bouquet the couple had made in memory of Krista’s mother. Anthony carried the bouquet in during the ceremony processional and placed it in a seat in the front row. The bouquet was also placed at a seat at the reception. Such a great way to remember a loved one and represent her presence on the wedding day! Another unique aspect of their wedding day is that they had traditional Samoan dances by Anthony’s family members to kick off the dance party. Krista and Anthony first met while Anthony was living in San Diego with two roommates, Nick and Clark. One day, Nick brought his girlfriend, Maggie, and her sister, Krista, over to hang out. Krista and Anthony talked while watching the Rose Bowl. She kept asking football questions and he answered all of her questions, realizing she was actually interested in the answers and not just making small talk. Anthony was intrigued by Krista’s Midwestern accent. Eventually, Nick, Maggie, and Krista left and Anthony figured he wouldn’t see her ever again. Well, as luck would have it, they all met up a few days later with more friends. By the end of the night, it was just Anthony, Nick, Maggie, and Krista. They went back to Maggie’s and watched movies and everyone crashed at her place. The next morning, Anthony woke up and...
