Kelsey and Gabe’s winter wedding was at Gale Mansion in Minneapolis, MN. I first met Kelsey at her sister’s wedding I photographed at the Van Dusen Mansion. Kelsey and Gabe had a morning wedding ceremony because it’s an English tradition (Kelsey’s family is British) and because the couple loves brunch and mimosas! These two planned their wedding from their home in Florida and wanted their venue to have a warm, welcoming feel that captures what they love about Minnesota. One of the bridesmaids, Megan, and her daughter, Chloe, toured Gale Mansion for them. Megan and Chloe agreed the mansion was perfect. As Chloe put it, “Kelsey and Gabe should have their ball here!” So it was settled. Their winter wedding was perfect! A few highlights include a horse-drawn carriage with Johmar Farms, sunshine to warm up the cold January day, and the huge smiles on Kelsey and Gabe’s faces all day long! Seriously, look at the photos- ear to ear grins in almost every single photo! Too cute! Kelsey and Gabe met back in 2011 on their first day of medical school at the University of Minnesota. Kelsey’s red hair caught Gabe’s attention and Gabe’s leather jacket caught Kelsey’s attention. In November of 2015, Gabe proposed to Kelsey with her great-grandmother’s ring! The ring was originally purchased by Kelsey’s great-grandfather in celebration of returning home to his wife after surviving World War I. It has since been passed down to the eldest daughter of each generation. How amazing is that!? Jenna and Joe’s New Year’s Eve wedding was at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN! It was so amazing to photograph here! We even got to go down on the field to get some portrait shots! These two wanted a cozy, candlelit, intimate atmosphere that included shots of tequila for their unity ceremony and a big party with their family and friends. Check out their amazing circle ceremony in the photos below! One of my other favorite parts of this winter wedding was the bride’s dress from Posh Bridal! How fun is that dress!? If you’re looking for a unique, historical Saint Paul wedding venue, check out St. Paul College Club. This historical mansion was purchased from the Federal Government in 1848 by William A. Woodward. Minnesota did not become a territory until 1849 so this property dates to the earliest days of our state. In 1872 it was subdivided and in 1914, two and one half lots were sold to Henry G. Allen and his wife, Ruth. The Allens designed the plans for a 39 room Georgian Revival house with architect Thomas Holyoke. The house and carriage house were completed in 1916. In 1927, the Archers purchased the house and lived there for over 20 years. They added on a new master bedroom and bath which is now called the Bride’s Room. An octagonal room was built for Mr. Archer’s gun collection which is now the library. In 1949, the St. Paul Branch of the AAUW purchased the home from Doris Archer. The house now has 25 rooms, 10 baths, and 7 fireplaces. The home is now an event venue and is perfect for Saint Paul couple looking to say “I do!” There are multiple ceremony sites including the private garden, the living room, and the Great Hall (also the perfect spot for the wedding reception). St. Paul College Club also offers onsite catering and is one of the few venues that allows couples to bring in their own alcohol. They also invite couples to decorate the way they envisioned their wedding to be! They offer experienced staff to assist couples in any way with decorating and through the planning process. Tabitha and Pat met during the summer of 2013 at the swimming pool of their townhomes! All of their neighbors were hanging out; there was volleyball and cannon ball contests. Tabitha caught Pat’s eye and he began trying to convince her to go out with him. He was very persistent- inviting her to Timberwolves games and numerous other events. They went to a few Bingo outings with mutual friends and started to get to know each other more. Finally, Tabitha gave in and went to a Twins game with Pat. Then it was a couple of dinners and then a round of golf. They would text and see each other at the pool. It wasn’t until the end of that summer after a few more outings that Tabitha thought maybe Pat was the real thing! By September 1st, they made it official! In February of 2016, the couple went to Walt Disney World. On Valentine’s Day, they went to Magic Kingdom Park. When they arrived at the park, they had a photographer take their photo in front of the castle. The photographer was trying to tell them how to pose but instead, Pat got down on one knee! With over a hundred people watching, he asked Tabitha to be his wife. She said yes! Since they got engaged in Disney World, the couple incorporated Disney into their wedding day! Tabitha had Disney castle stickers with “I Do” in Disney font on the bottom of her heels. Their wedding signs, cake topper, place cards, and card box all featured Mickey and Minnie Mouse. They also used the Disney font on their giant ceremony program board. It was so much...

Cassie and Cory tied the knot at Deglman Farm in Princeton, MN! These two met back in 2005 at work. They didn’t get engaged until November of 2014. They were walking out of a Garth Brooks concert. It was snowing and Cory proposed while their friends recorded it! Since these two love country music, it only seemed right to have a country barn wedding! The entire bridal party wore cowboy boots. For the rustic wedding decor, they used a lot of burlap and lace. One of my favorite parts about this wedding is how they involved their daughter, Serenity. From getting ready to being a part of the ceremony to her very own father daughter dance with Cory, Serenity was very involved for every part of her parents’ happy day! View their winter engagement session here!
