Historic Deglman Farm | Minnesota Farm Wedding Venues

The Historic Deglman Farm in Princeton, MN is the perfect place to tie the knot for couples looking for a rustic Minnesota farm wedding venue. This property has belonged to the Deglman family since 1934. The dairy barn was built in 1946. Where the dance floor now is used to be filled with hay for 28 Holstein cows. The Deglman Farm is now a wedding venue and Farmer Dave helps couples plan their weddings and will even officiate! The farm has a beautiful outdoor ceremony site under a large tree which is absolutely beautiful with golden leaves during the fall. Many couples have event tents set up for dining outside and then move into the barn for dancing! My favorite part about this farm though are the lush fields and beautiful scenery. I cannot get enough photos in the fields! When the sun sets, the entire farm is in a breathtaking golden glow! If you’re still searching for the perfect rustic farm venue for your country wedding, I highly recommend checking out The Historic Deglman Farm! It was such an honor to photograph this family again! A few months ago, I photographed Kylie’s brother’s winter wedding at Columbia Manor! Kylie and Pablo chose to have an outdoor, summer wedding at Hope Glen Farm for their big day! This Minnesota farm wedding venue was the perfect spot for their rustic wedding! One of the highlights of the day though was when our goat friends at the farm decided to join in on the festivities and get in on some wedding party photos! Too funny! Their wedding was even extra special by having some of Pablo’s relatives from Chili travel all the way to Minnesota to celebrate these two! So special! Both of Kylie’s brothers gave touching toasts and had everyone in tears! Thanks, Kylie and Pablo for letting me be apart of your day! Ali and Micah’s DIY wedding took place at Bruentrup Heritage Farm in Maplewood, MN. When Ali saw the barn, she knew it was the perfect place for the enchanting, rustic chic wedding she had envisioned. For their wedding, Ali and Micah created a few DIY wedding projects including burlap napkin holders, homemade labels for wedding favors, wedding programs, escort cards, floral arrangements, signs, and centerpieces. One of my favorite details of their big day was Ali’s stunning vintage dress! Back in high school, these two were just acquaintances. They didn’t really get to know each other until New Year’s Eve of 2015. Micah was home on military leave when these two met at a hol. When Micah went back to San Antonio, TX, they still kept in touch and would Facetime or Skype every night. Overtime, these two went back and forth visiting each other, even if it was just for a few days. They made sure to see each other every month. On July 2nd, 2016,  Ali flew alone from Minnesota to Kansas City, MO to meet Micah, who flew from Arkansas. They got all dressed up and planned a fun night out on the town in downtown Kansas City. They went out to dinner and took a stroll down by the little river walk. Suddenly, it started to downpour so they had to run three blocks to the parking garage where there car was. As they to their hotel, Ali could tell Micah had something planned but the rain had ruined his plans. When they arrived back to their hotel room, Ali went into the bathroom to...

This wedding was extra special since the bride is the sister of other Janine with Jeannine Marie Photography! It was so fun to see the day unfold. After getting engaged, Jessica and Zach knew right away that Three Rivers Parks: Silverwood Park in St. Anthony, MN was the perfect venue for them. They live nearby the park and have seen quite a few weddings there while walking around. When they called to secure a date, they knew it was a good sign when their ideal date was available. Their outdoor ceremony was on the patio, overlooking the lake. A little before the ceremony started, there was a thunderstorm and it was pouring. We decided to wait it out and after the storm passed, family and friends helped dry off the chairs just in time for the bride to walk down the aisle! The sky was sunny after that! Looking at the photos, you can’t even tell there was a storm! Back in spring of 2013, Jessica and Zach first met at the Guthrie Theater during the opening night party for Primrose Path. Zach was an actor in the show, and Jessica worked as an usher for the theater. At the party, Jessica approached Zach and said, “You know, you’re the cutest actor in the show.” She then left to go dance with friends. A little later, Zach went over to Jessica and said, “You’re like really gorgeous. Can I have your number so I can take you on a date?” They had their first date a week later. Skip ahead to December of 2015. They went on a winter...

Holy flower galore! Krista and Anthony wanted flowers everywhere and Camrose Hill Flowers definitely delivered! They decorated Calhoun Beach Club from top to bottom with an assortment of brightly colored florals, including the grand staircase. It was absolutely stunning! A special moment for their wedding is the beautiful bouquet the couple had made in memory of Krista’s mother. Anthony carried the bouquet in during the ceremony processional and placed it in a seat in the front row. The bouquet was also placed at a seat at the reception. Such a great way to remember a loved one and represent her presence on the wedding day! Another unique aspect of their wedding day is that they had traditional Samoan dances by Anthony’s family members to kick off the dance party. Krista and Anthony first met while Anthony was living in San Diego with two roommates, Nick and Clark. One day, Nick brought his girlfriend, Maggie, and her sister, Krista, over to hang out. Krista and Anthony talked while watching the Rose Bowl. She kept asking football questions and he answered all of her questions, realizing she was actually interested in the answers and not just making small talk. Anthony was intrigued by Krista’s Midwestern accent. Eventually, Nick, Maggie, and Krista left and Anthony figured he wouldn’t see her ever again. Well, as luck would have it, they all met up a few days later with more friends. By the end of the night, it was just Anthony, Nick, Maggie, and Krista. They went back to Maggie’s and watched movies and everyone crashed at her place. The next morning, Anthony woke up and...
